JBA's Europe Flood Map (EFM), modelled using JFlow, provides consistent mapping across 13 European countries. This was aimed primarily at the insurance industry, as it allows hazards to be easily compared between any or all of the countries covered.

 

The EFM provides undefended river flood hazard mapping at up to 10m resolution, with the spread of flood water across the Digital Terrain Model (DTM) simulated using JFlow. The maps themselves provide information on flood inundation extents and depths, which have been derived from the JFlow outputs.
